Why the Progress Journal?

Our 21st Century lives are crazy-busy. But the more we talked to people, the more we discovered that we don’t always feel like we’re making progress towards the things that really matter. Our key question for ourselves and for those we work with is simply:

Are you better off on Friday
than you were on Monday?

Sadly, most people consistently answer no. We want to stop this phenomenon and help people keep working toward the things that are important to them, instead of getting caught up in day-to-day busy-ness.

WHY IT WORKS:

How will the Progress Journal help you?
Here are just some of the reasons it works!

Writing Gets You Going.

Although writing in a journal seems so 20th Century, we purposely went analogue. Most people have electronic diaries and run their life from their smart phone. But the research on writing is pretty compelling. Physically writing improves memory retention, creativity and may help with learning.

Do Less

Not More

The Progress Journal will challenge you to focus on the things that really matter. When you’re clear about what’s most important, you’ll spend less time on the small things and more time on the big things.

Build Habits

Track Behaviour

To make true progress, we have to change. After establishing your Key Behaviours, you will track them week to week to keep track of your progress. Start doing the things that make a difference.

Balance

is Key

Research shows that to be most fulfilled we need to balance three Critical Areas of a) Work, b) Home and Relationships and c) Self. Data also shows that people with work life balance are 250% more productive than those without. The Progress Journal forces you to work on each area.

Why are the Critical Areas so critical? Take a look here to find out

Plan Monthly,

Weekly, Daily

Every month you’ll revisit your MIT’s (these are your goals, remember) to keep you focussed and motivated. Align your Weekly Plan to give you actionable items. Be

Grateful

The simple act of gratitude has been shown to improve mental and emotional health. Every day there is an opportunity to for you to write down something you are grateful for.

Creative.

There is ample space to brainstorm daily and make notes and reminders. But we want the Progress Journal to go everywhere with you, so we also have a whole bunch of blank pages at the back for notes and ideas. Get creative, write other lists, draw diagrams, or jot down those action items.

Make Time

For You.

The Progress Journal encourages you to take some moments where you Recharge throughout the day. We have to Recover Energy to Spend Energy. Stop, recharge, disconnect, slow down. Then get back to your full potential.
